Are You Gonna Eat That?

Recent news that sushi-grade tuna contained high levels of mercury sent some people scrambling to the Search box for more information. But the lack of a thundering interest makes us think that folks aren't very worried.
In 20 New York City stores and restaurants, lab tests showed that 5 of the bluefin tuna samples had so much mercury that the Food and Drug Administration could remove the fish. On Wednesday, we noticed only lukewarm spikes for "sushi" (+28%), "tuna" (+22%), and even "mercury poisoning."
An article in Thursday's New York Times says that sushi lovers aren't deterred from their fish fix. With so many warnings about different foods in the news every week, folks might take the path of enjoying their favorite food items in moderation over outright eliminating them.
What about you? Are you likely to change your sushi habit based on the report? Send us a comment and let us know.
