Bin Laden Buzz: It’s All in the Family

Sunday, Omar bin Laden sat for an interview with CNN. Two days later, accompanied by his wife Zaina, he chatted with "The Today Show." Wednesday, the couple posed for photos with Reuters. What's next, Oprah?
In the interests of promoting a 3,000-mile horse race, the 26-year-old son of the world's most notorious fugitive has agreed to take questions about his dad. So far, searchers are listening. Buzz on "omar bin laden," "osama bin laden son," and "omar osama bin laden" have surged.
Omar's wife, a doe-eyed 52-year-old Brit named Zaina Alsabah, has shown her own special talent for buzz. Tabloids in London have followed her off-again, on-again romance with Omar. Now, queries for Zaina bin Laden and Jane Felix-Browne (her previous name) have mounted. Interest in Omar's first wife Rasha and "omar bin laden marriage" have also picked up.
Of course, Osama's son isn't the only member of the Bin Laden clan to gain attention thanks to family connections. Brother Salem bin Laden and father Mohammed bin Laden have become regulars in the Search spotlight. (Both died years ago.) Niece Wafah Dufour has proved adept at the game; she routinely sparks buzz with her photos, if not her musical career.
Here are the week's most popular searches for members of the bin Laden family tree...
