We're deep in primary season, and it's tough to avoid talk of politics. In the past week, buzz has been swirling for both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. But who comes out the winner in Search? Let's pop the hood and take a serious look at their top queries…
Top Barack Obama Searches
Notes on the above:
- The most popular lookup, "barack obama muslim," leapt 4,215% in the last few days. Who cares most about his faith? Searchers in Tennessee, Oklahoma, Arkansas, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
- Michelle Obama's buzz (+2,606%) is higher than her husband's.
- The spike in searches for "obama for president" (+601%) beats "hillary clinton for president" (+242%).

Top Hillary Clinton Searches
Notes on the above:
- Even though it has a boost of 803%, the top query ("hillary clinton pictures") lags far behind Obama's most popular search. Searchers in Oklahoma, Minnesota, and Utah are the ones spending time looking up photos on Mrs. Clinton.
- Hillary Clinton's buzz is higher than Bill's at the moment… but both are eclipsed by the dialups on the Obamas.
- We don't think we want to know anything about the people who looked up "hillary clinton bathing."

For now, Barack Obama wins the Buzz Showdown. But one thing we've learned about politics is that we can never count someone out this early. So stay tuned and see who wins for real.
