No time for fanciful flights of fancy. Halloween comes in less than two weeks, and makeshift madness has begun.

The deviously simple inspiration from "The Dark Knight," however, persists in its popularity from last month: All it takes is spackling on white foundation, smearing lipstick, and wearing a crooked grin.
