Dear Reader, Will You Be Mine?

We’re all for cutsie cards on February 14, but it’s the grand gesture toward your special someone that determines how well you weather the day. Judging by buzz, some of you are taking a page from the wordsmiths and scribbling out a tender note.

Queries for “love letters,” “romantic notes,” and “romantic love letters” are posting high gains in Search. Romeos just testing the waters have considered “sample love letters,” while the more frugal sorts are busy seeking “free love letters.” Hopefully, they’re saving their dimes for the roses and the wine. Finally, techno-scribes have dispatched “love sms messages” into the ether. Luv u 2, babe.

Of course, buzz for “valentine’s day cards” is up—and up and up. Demand for the sentimental enclosures rose more than 1,000% over the past week. That makes Hallmark happy, and your sweetie, too. But if you really want to go for the gusto, dial up “romantic love poetry” and pick up a pen.
