Easy RegisterFly Domain Transfers to GoDaddy
I’ve tried it, it’s a very easy process to start managing your ex-RegisterFly domains at GoDaddy (yes, I still had one there that I was unable to renew or transfer
):
- In case you need to receive an email, make sure you are able to receive email at the RegisterFly (”RF”) email address you have on record for your domains there. If necessary, login at RF and change it first for all your RF domains;
- Go to GoDaddy
- click on the “Welcome RegisterFly Customers” banner at the top;
- Enter your RF user name or customer number on the form you’re presented with. The system couldn’t find my RF user name, so I used the link on that page to find and use my customer number instead. (This is why step 1. above is important);
- You will receive an email with a link to click - do it and log into your GoDaddy account. Note: this is NOT your usual GoDaddy
account (if you had one already), but a new account with only your RF domains;
Make sure all domains are there and start managing them! Renew if necessary;- To make things easier for yourself if you had an existing GoDaddy
account before, like I did, you can “push” your ex-RF domains to your main GoDaddy
account for free. That way, all your GoDaddy
domains are in one place. Just start the “Account Changes” process from the account with your RF domains.
You’re done! Easy!
Thanks Bob, you’re the man … um… I mean, Daddy! ![]()
