Romney Statesmanship
Just as well Mitt Romney was busy on the campaign trail this weekend. Watching his previously undefeated team lose the Super Bowl isn’t the kind of metaphor the Republican candidate needs before Super Tuesday. Then again, the former Massachusetts governor may still have learned something: He’s pitching himself as the underdog to John McCain.
As for his possible supporters, his January queries were studious but somewhat tepid, with one exception: Most candidates’ searches vary by only a few percentage points from state to state. In Romney’s case, however, Utah residents conducted more than double the queries for the Brigham Young University grad, compared to his number two and three states, Idaho and Nevada.
In the last of our Buzz geo-maps comparing candidate search activity, take a look-see at how Romney’s queries fare in Super Tuesday states and beyond.
